Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses offered through writiqra. The courses provide detailed guidance on audiovisual production topics including broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering and streamlined workflows for television networks and live events. The policy covers both one-time course purchases and any subscription-based access to ongoing resources. It does not extend to third-party products or services linked from the site.

Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling. Value Added Tax at the prevailing UK rate is included where applicable. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as extended access periods or supplementary materials. Any such charges are clearly shown before payment is authorised. Currency conversion fees imposed by your payment provider remain your responsibility.

Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security

Accepted payment methods include major credit and debit cards together with approved digital wallets. Payment is authorised at the point of purchase. writiqra uses secure third-party processors that comply with UK data protection standards. Card details are never stored on our systems. Authorisation may be declined if fraud checks fail or if the card issuer rejects the transaction.

Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed

A contract is formed once you receive an email confirmation following successful payment. This confirmation summarises the course details, price paid and access instructions. Until confirmation is issued no binding agreement exists. Access credentials are provided only after the contract is formed.

Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods

Under UK consumer law you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which you may cancel for a full refund provided you have not begun accessing the course content. If access has started the cooling-off period ends immediately. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time but refunds are limited to the unused portion after the cooling-off period.

Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services

Refunds are available during the cooling-off period if no content has been accessed. Exclusions apply once course materials have been viewed or downloaded. Promotional or discounted courses may have separate terms stated at purchase. Non-refundable items include any physical materials supplied with the course and any customised content created for you.

The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund

To request a refund contact info@cie-group.com or use the form on the Contacts page. Provide your order number, full name, email address used for purchase and a brief reason. Requests must be submitted within the applicable time limits. Incomplete requests will be returned for additional information.

Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision

Requests are reviewed within ten working days. You will receive email notification of approval or rejection. If rejected the email will state the reason and any options for appeal. Approved refunds proceed automatically without further action from you.

Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days after approval although bank processing may extend this to fourteen days. You will be notified once the refund has been sent. 0115 977 0075 can be used for status enquiries after the initial period.

Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant

Digital course content is supplied immediately upon purchase so the 14-day cooling-off right ends once access begins. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are non-refundable after the cooling-off period unless the promotion terms state otherwise. Service elements such as live webinars are non-refundable once attended.

Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud

Failed payments must be retried or an alternative method used within seven days or the order may be cancelled. Duplicate charges will be investigated and refunded once confirmed. Chargebacks are treated as refund requests and may result in loss of access. Suspected fraud leads to immediate account suspension pending verification with info@cie-group.com.

Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or UK GDPR. You retain the right to remedies for faulty digital content and to complain to the relevant ombudsman if dissatisfied with our handling of a refund request. These rights cannot be waived by contract.
